Hey folks, don't forget to mark your calendar for Thursday, June 6. Community Board 4 is hosting its 14th annual Brooklyn-Queens day parade in conjunction with Shape-Up Bushwick VII.

Geared toward promoting a healthy lifestyle for all, the day begins with a short parade followed by a ceremony to recognize the Grand Marshal and other honorees. After the parade, plan to enjoy various fitness and recreation activities for the entire family, as well as games, face painting, music, and a raffle for kids. St. Stanislaus' "Get to the Point" 5K Hits the Mark!

After carbo-loading at the pre-race "Pasta Party" on Saturday, October 13, participants in the St. Stanislaus "Get to the Point" 5K were raring and ready to go on race day. The autumnal nip in the air set the stage for a fun-filled Sunday that began with the children's dash races, followed by the 5K run/walk, and the award ceremony. As the photos show, it was a day of fun and fellowship. As title sponsor, Broadway Stages is grateful to those who participated and donated to the event; the money raised goes a long way in advancing education and building community.

Broadway Stages, New York's premier film and television production company, actively supports a variety of organizations, programs and initiatives that demonstrate our commitment to local economic and community growth, education, the arts, public safety, and the environment. Through financial, in-kind and volunteer resources we strive to make a difference in the communities where we work and live.

Get your running shoes on and come out to support St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Academy! Broadway Stages is the title sponsor for the 25th anniversary of the "Get to the Point" 5K Run/Walk, that will take place on Sunday, October 14, 2018. This year, Broadway Stages is also the benefactor of a pre-race "Pasta Party" on Saturday evening, October 13.

Event Chairman and Race Director Frank P. Carbone is excited to bring back the race this year and promises that it will be better than ever. The event, which was first held in 1992, has grown steadily over the past three decades. This year, over 500 participants are expected to compete in the highly popular children's dash and 5K run. Adults, children, and families of all ages are invited to join in this year's festivities. All proceeds from the event will be used to benefit the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Academy, a local school with over 200 students serving grades pre-K3 through eight in the Greenpoint, Williamsburg, and Long Island City communities.

Broadway Stages, New York's premier film and television production company, is thrilled to be the title sponsor for this year's race. The company's President and CEO Gina Argento strongly believes in giving back to the community by supporting educational causes and local businesses and engaging in positive environmental practices. As a company with local roots, Broadway Stages understands the needs of its community and the importance of giving back.
