October is Polish-American Heritage Month!

Walk along Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint and you’ll hear the familiar sound of Polish being spoken and see numerous businesses, including convenience stores, bakeries and delis, catering to the Polish-American community. This pocket of Brooklyn is home to a well-established and long-standing Polish-American community. At Broadway Stages, we share many of the same values of our Polish-American friends — a culture based on family, fellowship and community. We are proud to support our local Polish-American community, organizations and events, including the Pulaski Association of Business and Professional Men, the Pulaski Day Parade and of course the Polish film-makers. In 2018, it was also our close connection with the Polish-American community that inspired us to provide assistance to the Park Deli, a local business that provides amazing homemade food for our staff and clients. Read here about our effort to save the deli.

Join with Broadway Stages in celebrating the tremendous history, culture and contributions of this vibrant community as we observe Polish-American Heritage Month. Look for local celebrations, including the October 6 Pulaski Day Parade in New York City.
