SIEDC Green & Clean Was a Sweep

The Staten Island Zoo was the location of this past weekend's Green & Clean Festival hosted by the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation (SIEDC). A day-long marketplace, sustainable businesses and organizations showcased their services and spread information about sustainability and environmental awareness.

As a member of the Board of SIEDC, Broadway Stages is proud to have supported this event and to help promote the value of sustainability. In fact, our very own green roof project was represented by Niki Jackson of the NYC Audubon on behalf of Kingsland Wildflowers at Broadway Stages, along with Monica Holowacz, Community Relations Director at Broadway Stages. SUSTAINABILITY - now more than ever, it's important to understand the value and importance it makes on our world, and how you can make a difference. On June 6, the State Island Economic Development Corporation (SIEDC) will host their annual Green & Clean Festival. Intended to spread information about sustainability and environmental awareness, the festival is a day-long marketplace where more than 40 sustainable businesses and organizations showcase their services, and where environmentally conscious individuals gather to learn how to incorporate sustainability into their lives.

As a member of the SIEDC, Broadway Stages encourages you to attend, and we invite you to come by our table to learn about green roofs from the NY City Audubon and Alive Structures, two organizations that make our 20,000 square foot Kingsland Wildflowers rooftop possible. And you can hear about the work underway to expand our green roof corridor by an additional 1.4 acres! General admission to the festival is free, but you are encouraged to register. Staten Island EDC Recognizes Broadway Stages With Top 31 Award

At this year's Staten Island Economic Development Corporation's (SIEDC) annual conference, Broadway Stages was recognized as one of the top 31 growing companies in the borough. Gina Argento, Broadway Stages' President and CEO, received the award on behalf of the company.

"We've put our heart and soul into our Staten Island campus in Arthur Kill and are excited to see the growth that it's bringing to the community," said Gina. "We are proud to be a member of the SIEDC and a part of the Charleston community."

In 2017 Broadway Stages acquired the 69-acre campus in Arthur Kill, located in the Charleston section of Staten Island. Today, it's being designed as a full-service production facility offering ample space for film, television, and music video productions of all sizes.
