Where Stories Take Shape: HBO Max’s “The Chair Company” Finds Its Creative Home at Broadway Stages

When storytelling demands full creative control, the space it’s filmed in becomes as essential as the script. At Broadway Stages we understand what our clients need. And when the creative minds behind the upcoming HBO Max comedy series “The Chair Company” came to us looking for a home in which to film their production, we knew that Soundstage 23 would be the perfect match — a premier stage designed to accommodate complex builds, high-stakes production timelines, and cinematic vision at every scale.

As part of Broadway Stages' extensive network of over 60 soundstages across three boroughs in New York City, Stage 23 delivers access to comprehensive production services, including in-house lighting, power, and grip rentals, and ample support space for offices, wardrobe, hair and makeup, props, carpentry, scenic, storage, and more.

“The Chair Company,” a new series created by Tim Robinson, known for “I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson,” and Zach Kanin, follows William Ronald Trosper as he uncovers a bizarre conspiracy after a humiliating workplace incident. Directed by Andrew DeYoung and co-starring Lake Bell, Sophia Lillis, and Lou Diamond Phillips, the show blends Robinson’s trademark absurdist humor with a satirical, mystery-driven plot. Produced by Adam McKays HyperObject Industries and Igor Srubshchik — who previously worked with Broadway Stages on “Mr. Robot,” “Mrs. Fletcher,” and “Master of None” — the series premieres in 2025 on HBO Max.

Inside Soundstage 23: Build for Creativity
