Children's Christmas Celebration Host to Over 500!

On Saturday, December 8 Broadway Stages and the 94th Precinct Community Council hosted their 8th children's Christmas celebration. We welcomed over 500 guests who enjoyed a day full of fun activities including face painting, balloon animals, a photo booth, and arts and crafts. Delicious kid-inspired sweet and savory snacks were available for our guests to enjoy, and each child was given a goody bag of arts and crafts to continue the fun when they got home. But the best part of the day was a meeting with Santa, complete with a gift from his toy shop at Broadway Stages.

Together with the 94th Precinct, Broadway Stages is grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the holiday season with our community.

Merry Christmas!

Stay Warm This Winter – Coat Giveaway Dec. 18

Broadway Stages, in cooperation with the 79th Precinct, is hosting a coat giveaway on Tuesday, December 18 beginning at 2:00 p.m. Coats will be distributed to children and adults in need, without charge, discrimination, or obligation.

Each fall, just before we feel the first nip in the New York air, Broadway Stages begins to collect coats for children and adults in need. Collection boxes are placed at our facilities across New York City where many of our local vendors, businesses, contractors, employees, and neighbors graciously donate coats. Broadway Stages also purchases several dozen coats each year to kick off the spirit of giving and augment the coat drive. This year the 79th Precinct has graciously opened their doors as the distribution location. We thank them for their cooperation, their time and effort, and support of our shared and beloved community.

Stay warm this holiday season and throughout the winter. If you or someone you know needs a coat to get through the winter, please stop by the 79th Precinct at 263 Tompkins Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11216 on December 18. For more information about the distribution, or to make a donation, please contact monica@broadway-stages.com.

'Tis the Season - Children's Christmas Party December 8

Believe it or not, Christmas is just around the corner! That means Broadway Stages and the 94th Precinct Community Council are busy as Santa's elves gearing up for another fun-filled Children's Christmas party.

This year's event will take place on Saturday, December 8 from noon to 3 p.m. at 25 Nassau Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Children age 10 and under are invited along with their families for a day of Christmas cheer. Enjoy snacks and fun activities such as arts and crafts and holiday-inspired games. Then make your way to have a chat with none other than Santa himself!

Please note that doors will close promptly at 2:30 p.m. in order to accommodate our guests and ensure they are able to enjoy the festivities, especially Santa. In addition, due to space restrictions there will be no seating.

We hope to see you there. Happy holidays and merry Christmas!

Broadway Stages Supports 35th Anniversary of 94th Precinct's National Night Out

For 35 years the NYPD's 94th Precinct has been hosting National Night Out in Greenpoint. Over the last seven years Broadway Stages has supported this community event. This year, Broadway Stages provided all of the entertainment, activities, and food, including Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream, a rock-climbing wall, spin and sand art, games, and music.

"We believe that it is important to honor the hardworking and brave men and women who serve and protect us every day," Gina Argento, CEO of Broadway Stages, said. "Especially our local precinct in Greenpoint." Gina said it's a great feeling to watch residents engage with the men and women of the 94th Precinct to introduce themselves and thank them for their service. For the full article by Mark Garzon with the Queens Ledger click here.

Broadway Stages would like to thank our local 94th Precinct for serving the Greenpoint Community and its residents. We believe that Greenpoint's wellbeing is a top priority and requires lots of hard work and dedication to keep it safe for our families and friends.

We would like to thank you wholeheartedly for your continued dedication to making our neighborhood a place we can enjoy with our families. Your family at Broadway Stages would like to wish all the officers at the 94th a merry Christmas and happy holidays. We hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and we will continue to support you and the Greenpoint community for the years to come!

Broadway Stages Sponsors Toy Drive at Kingsland Avenue

toy drive.jpg

In anticipation of the holidays, Brooklyn's largest full-service sound stage studio is preparing for another year of supporting local children! On December 16, Broadway Stages, in partnership with the 94th Precinct, is organizing a toy drive to collectively donate to Brooklyn families.

Dozens of dedicated Broadway Stages employees collect and distribute over a hundred toys during the annual donation drive. Purchasing dolls, actions figures, cars, and Legos, the staff at Broadway Stages and the officers at the 94th Precinct encourage each other to contribute to the drive to benefit our fellow neighbors.

The toy drive is open to all Brooklynites to participate, and the more the merrier! Whether you want to donate to the cause or come celebrate with your family, Broadway Stages welcomes you from noon to 3 p.m. next Saturday! Be sure to stop by; we would love to celebrate the night with our Greenpoint family!

Broadway Stages Sponsors Glendale and Brooklyn 94th Precinct National Night Out

This past Tuesday, Broadway Stages sponsored the National Night Out to honor the hardworking and brave men and women of the 94th Precinct protecting Greenpoint every day. The annual community event promotes police and resident camaraderie and helps create safer neighborhoods by bringing together local residents with those who pledge to serve them. The event honoring our local officers was a huge success!

Broadway Stages invited all our neighbors in Greenpoint to enjoy delicious grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and sausages topped with fresh veggies on us! Serving hundreds of families and children that night, Broadway Stages came prepared with dozens of pounds of food to accommodate our hungry guests.

Among the most popular attraction at the event was the water jet game, which involves shooting a water pistol at a target three feet away to elevate your pole to the top. The game attracted children and adults, with winners taking home toys including SpongeBob and emoji plushies.

At the end of the night, we held a showing of all the honorable servicemen and women who strive to keep our communities and families safe. As police officers walked to the stage, they were greeted with rounds of applause by community members thankful for their service. Receiving cheers from the crowd, the 94th Precinct sure felt right at home at the National Night Out.

We hope that the 94th Precinct and our fellow Brooklynites enjoyed the event and look forward to continuing to serve our community, as the 94th Precinct does.
